Mr. Paul D. Franklin Engineer, President
Mr. Franklin earned his B.S. in Electrical Engineering with a block emphasis in computer design and programming from the University of Texas at Austin in May of 1982. Paul has over 25 years of electrical, electronic, mechanical and software design experience in university research and in the computer, broadcast and telecommunication industries. For over twelve years Mr. Franklin worked for International Business Machines where he attained the rank of Advisory Engineer. In addition, he has worked for Texas Instruments, The Center for Electromechanics at The University of Texas at Austin, Motorola Inc., Glenayre Electronics (a telecommunications firm), and Crystal Computer Corporation (a broadcast industry control system company). Paul has almost 30 years of experience as both a hobbyist and a professional wood worker and master craftsman. Paul began woodworking in high school designing and making simple furniture and speaker enclosures. His woodworking continued as a hobby until 1999 when he incorporated Residential Technology and began woodworking for a profit. Mr. Franklin is a husband, a father of four children, an ordained Deacon and an active member at a local church.
Ms. Barbara L. Franklin Shop Foreman, Treasurer, CFO
Ms. Franklin earned her B.S. in Biology, graduating cum laude from North Carolina State University. Barbara has technical work experience at Ciba Geigy, Ltd. where she was employed as a laboratory technician working on genetic sequencing of corn for disease resistance and yield. In addition, Ms. Franklin has teaching experience at various pre, elementary and middle schools in North Carolina and Georgia. Barbara has completed her certification to teach Science and Mathematics for the 4th through 9th grades at North Georgia College and State University. In addition to being a wife and mother of four, Barbara is a church pre-school volunteer, and an avid puzzle solver.
